IPC Decides on Participation of Athletes with Intellectual Disability Print E-mail

kuala_lumpur Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - During the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) General Assembly in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the IPC membership today decided in favour of the re-inclusion of athletes with an intellectual disability (ID athletes) in competitions, including the Paralympic Games. Said IPC President Sir Philip Craven: "Today's achievement is the outcome of a unique and excellent co-operation between sports governance and the scientific community.

eipet_team_at_final_confere On October 23rd, final conference brought to successful conclusion project EUROPEAN INCLUSIVE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TRAINING. The aim of the EIPET project was to develop methods and resources in initial physical education teacher training and continued training to tackle difficulties that arise associated with the inclusion of people with disabilities into mainstream education; and associated current deficiencies in initial and continued training to deal with same.
