Press release for DbI & APA Print

DbI APA We are proud to announce, that our idea has become reality; the worldwide network of APA (adapted physical activity) within the organization of Deafblind International, www.deafblindinternational.org. It is named DbI & APA.

Since the EUCAPA conference in Turin 2008, www.eufapa.eu we have worked hard to get APA acknowledged, as a method and approach, within the field of deafblindness and hearingloss.

The aims of the network is:
To participate in an international internet based forum

  • Exchange knowledge of APA (Adapted Physical Activity)
  • To post the latest ideas, news, practical exercises, theory and scientific research.
  • The network has to be dynamic and participate in conferences and exhibitions.
  • We aim to meet every other year, to present and discuss the new theories and best practice.

Further we will discuss the network activities for the coming two years. First personal meeting is suggested to be at the 17th Deafblind International World Conference in Australia in 2019.
We like to thank the persons who helped us making this network come through: Miguel Olio from Brazil, Lauren Liebermann, U.S.A, Marijke Bolwerk and Lotte van de Weem from The Netherlands and Simon Allison from England. The network like you to join!
