Exercise and Sport Science Lab Coordinator

Lakeshore Foundation is currently seeking an energetic, creative, resourceful, self starter with exposure or experience in conducting research related to exercise science.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct all Human Performance Testing (e.g., strength, balance, oxygen consumption, body comp.)
  • Maintain laboratory area (equipment calibration, maintenance & repair, ordering supplies); oversee equipment checkout; order supplies.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment in good working order and for contacting equipment rep for servicing equipment.
  • Oversee all aspects of exercise testing for research projects (determine protocols; schedule participants; collect, enter, manage data).
  • Assist with participant recruitment and scheduling of lab testing.
  • Assist with research data collection.
  • Create data collection forms, spreadsheets, flyers and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Conduct literature searches.
  • Maintain Endnote (journal article) library.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 year college degree in Exercise Science or related field (Master's degree preferable)
  • Strong technical skills operating and maintaining equipment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Office managerial skills
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in fitness or exercise field
  • Minimum 1 year experience conducting research related to exercise science
  • Exercise/fitness testing experience required

CPR, Standard First Aid and AED desired (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
