Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, has announced vacant postdoc position: The effect of primary mobility impairment on participation of students with physical disabilities in general physical education (P51).

Aims of the project:
The aim of the project is to describe the effect of walking and mobility impairments on the integration in PE of disabled students and their intact classmates, using the CEPI-PE protocol (Klavina, 2011). A partial aim is to define the professional competences of educators in relation to their work with students with primary walking and mobility impairments, using SSSE-PETE (The Situational-Specific Self-Efficacy Scale for PE Teacher Education Majors) and the optimization of their professional preparation.

Job description of the postdoc within the existing team:
A detailed analysis of the effect of walking and mobility impairment on the participation of students in general physical education at school. Standardization of SSSE-PETE questionnaire and a comparative study between the Czech Republic and Canada. Implementation of the CEPI-PE observation protocol in the Czech environment.

Starting date:
Expected beginning of employment: February – May 2013. The position will be fixed-term ending on June 30, 2015.

Who can apply?
Fellowships are open to the young scientists who finished their Ph.D. studies in an appropriate field after March 28, 2008. Excellent level of English language, ability to work concurrently on more projects, and ability to prioritize tasks are expected.

Award:
The fellowship will provide a salary starting at 38,000 CZK (equals to 1,500 €) monthly.

  • recommendation from the previous supervisor

The selection procedure will be realized in two steps, selected applicants will be invited to an interview.
